Armada Music Group and Q-dance present unique collaboration

Hardstyle remixes breathe new life into iconic dance classics

Amsterdam, June 13, 2025 – Armada Music Group and Q-dance Music proudly announce a long-term collaboration that pushes the boundaries of electronic music. Armada Music Group – consisting of Armada Music, BEAT Music Fund, and Armada Music Publishing – joins forces with the music division of leading hard dance brand Q-dance in a groundbreaking artistic exchange, merging the heritage of dance music with the energy of hardstyle. As part of this collaboration, Q-dance gains exclusive access to (parts of) Armada’s iconic catalog, from which a series of hardstyle reinterpretations of legendary dance classics will be released.

The collaboration kicks off with a powerful release: Chicane ft. Moya Brennan – Saltwater (Audiotricz & Ecstatic Remix). This remix by Audiotricz and Ecstatic offers a bold reinterpretation of Chicane’s trance classic. With emotional breakdowns, euphoric melodies, and pounding kicks, the track delivers a modern hardstyle-inspired version that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new. The single is out now via Q-dance Records.

Uniting Armada Music – the world’s largest independent dance music label – with Q-dance – globally renowned as a pioneer in the hard dance scene – this partnership bridges genres and fan communities by giving timeless classics a fresh, high-energy hardstyle twist. Armada contributes its vast catalog and legacy, while Q-dance brings its powerful network and influence within the harder styles, resulting in a unique synergy with global reach.

The partnership also expands into the realm of publishing. Armada Music Publishing will globally administer Q-dance Music’s publishing catalog and serve as co-publisher for several key artists on the Q-dance Music roster. The team will actively support creators in developing new works, with a focus on artistic growth and long-term career development. As part of this initiative, Armada Music Publishing and Q-dance Music will host an exclusive writing camp during Defqon.1 in a fully equipped studio at the Artist Village. Selected hardstyle and hard dance artists and songwriters will collaborate on new music, fully immersed in the energy of the festival.

The collaboration also leverages repertoire from the BEAT Music Fund catalog — Armada Music’s investment arm dedicated to acquiring and creatively revitalizing premium dance catalogs (both master and publishing rights). This project underscores BEAT’s mission to preserve and celebrate the legacy of dance music for a new generation of listeners.

Saltwater (Audiotricz & Ecstatic Remix) is available worldwide from June 13 via Q-dance Records.
