What began in 2016 as a limited vinyl-only bootleg series re-imagining classic trance and rave tracks, quickly blossomed into one of electronic music’s most compelling contemporary acts. McCartney’s early edits found their way into the collections of scene luminaries like Bicep, The Black Madonna, Calvin Harris, and Nina Kraviz, cementing his reputation for blending nostalgia with forward-thinking production.

Over the years Trance Wax has evolved from underground secret to international presence. Highlights include a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, live sets at major stages such as EDC Las Vegas, Dreamstate San Francisco, and The Gathering Fest, plus an appearance at ABGT450 alongside Above & Beyond after his debut on Anjunabeats.

In 2025 he dropped the emotionally charged “HOLD ON 2 U EP” on Dreamstate Records, a five-track collection that fuses trance euphoria with breakbeat and acid elements, showcasing his signature emotional depth and production finesse. On the ambient side, the “Bluebird EP” on Anjunachill reveals his versatility, offering lush, downtempo soundscapes that push beyond the dancefloor.

With a growing catalogue and consistent international bookings, Trance Wax continues to redefine how classic trance influences resonate in today’s electronic landscape.
